Welcome to FFXV News, the best place to find everything you need to know about the latest mainline entry in the Final Fantasy series by Square Enix. [Our ask function is currently under construction.]
Final Fantasy XV may be a no-show at E3, but will definitely appear at events later this year.

Executive producer Shinji Hashimoto mentioned events other than TGS like SDCC and Gamescom. SDCC is the next big event after E3 and this means that we’ll get new information as soon as next month on the 27th.

When asked if Final Fantasy XV would be at E3 a few days ago in Thailand, Shinji Hashimoto said

We would like to keep it secret. It’s just only a few months from now. I’m pretty sure you will be surprised.

Actually it is not only in June, there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comicon, Tokyo Game Show and others. (x)

If this means the game will be at E3, we still don’t know. The fact the he also points out other events, including TGS (which is more likely to be there), may well mean the opposite.

Also, there’s a little bit of new footage of gameplay you can watch here. It’s just an extended version of the E3 gameplay trailer and doesn’t show anything new.

There has been a rumor about Final Fantasy XV getting a release date and a new trailer at E3 this year. Take it with a grain of salt since it’s part of an unofficial “preview” instead of an official statement.

At this point, it’s still not confirmed if Final Fantasy XV will be present at E3 2014.

This week’s Famitsu reports that Square Enix is preparing to release new information for FFXV

Release date is still TBD.

Omnis Lacrima Latin-to-English Translation

Thanks to this YouTube video, a pretty accurate translation of Omnis Lacrima's lyrics has been provided. The user notes that it's not exactly a word by word translation, you can read more from the video's description.

I rewrote the lyrics below, italicizing the English translation:

Dormit deus faciunt. Dormit perpetua.

Our master has succumbed to endless sleep.

Dormit domine. Nobis caelum som - Somnus caelum ignosco.

With him sleeps power. Sleeps our beloved sky, begging for forgiveness.

Auroram videre potest?

Can we once again see the dawn?

Deus dormit in voc suci. Liberi ini et sabe en pacum.

Defeated, our master sleeps and calls his children through his dreams.

Mane tempus expergiscendi. Etagen veni omnia dividi.

Behold the day of glory, at last awakened by the whispers of dawn.

Icor possit fabris tori alu yatrae corun dea.

Know that we will fight. We are protected by our goddess.

Mane tempus expergiscendi. Etagen veni omnia divi ex.

Behold the day of glory, awakened. The coming danger divides us all.

Liberi… et liberi ignem faciunt.

The children… and the children have lit a flame.

Requiensa vide ende! Omnia sangvinem!

For our master to find his peace. All is stained in blood!

[GREEK]Kyrie eleison!

Rest in peace!

Aeterna volutu deus somnus.

Eternal, tormenting in his sleep.

Like Somnus, there are strong hints in the lyrics that point towards Bhunivelze, the main god in the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology. If you are knowledgeable with how the mythology was used in the XIII trilogy, this can be easily seen. Also, if the lyrics are truly very accurate, then the goddess mentioned should be pertaining to Etro, the fal’Cie goddess.

OMNIS LACRIMA, the 2nd full official FFXV track to be released, is the one that played in the 2011 trailer and the 2013 E3 gameplay trailer.

Human blood is apparently blue (or at least these enemies’ blood), but Noctis’ is red.

Here’s some more.
